Urban planning
The core of our collaboration has been motivated by a shared exploration of living. Our research and common sensitivity focus on addressing the needs of contemporary living, seeking answers through pathways in complexity. This research is nourished by studying and reinterpreting masters, as well as young or less-known figures, and it strives to learn from successful experiences regardless of their geographic origins.
Overlapping does not mean overloading; rather, it means identifying fruitful interactions and allowing for the coexistence of small situations that enrich each other. Overlapping as a method to produce quality living. In the project, we sought ways to ensure that the proximity of different functions and activities would serve as a means to mutually enhance them, fostering a constant stewardship of open space.
Urban connections
We understand space as flexible/adaptable—an instrument to meet the changing needs of its inhabitants, convinced that it is necessary to make room for unforeseen practices that can beautify the city. In the project, we aimed to design places that facilitate the participation and interaction of residents, promoting appropriation and management of space by various collectives.
Section
We like to think of the competition as a research tool to continue deepening and exploring possibilities for better living—a way to investigate issues that too often the profession forces you to relegate to the margins, and a means to keep reflecting on the meaning and role of the architect today.)
