Trad-style Apartment in Milano
Give your architect the space to understand your needs, and provide them with a clean slate to be inspired by the intrinsic characteristics of your home: light, space, style...
Here’s what happens when an architect and their client are in perfect harmony: you’ll be delighted with the result.

Andrea, who lives in Southern Lombardy with his family, works in Milan and bought this apartment for weekdays.
Built at the beginning of the 20th century, this two-room apartment was likely refurbished in the 1970s. Unfortunately, whoever commissioned these renovations compromised some of the studio's key features.
The beautiful family room, located in the building's corner, was divided in half to create a bathroom, and a small kitchen was added in the middle. The once beautiful wooden floor was also damaged.
The main idea behind the new design was to recreate the family room with two large windows in the corner.
We demolished the bathroom wall but had to figure out what to do with the floor, as we wanted to preserve the traditional wooden flooring that had been maintained for nearly a century.
We ruled out the option of matching old wood with new wood, as well as using modern ceramics. Instead, we decided on a traditional 20x20 cm format of black and white ceramics. We created a unique design using this beautiful collection by Marazzi, called Scenario.
The kitchen is from the Scavolini Evolution series.

We chose the same style for all the new floors in the house, but we preserved the old wood in the family room and bedroom.

These refurbishment works were carried out by Facile Ristrutturare, an Italian services hub that connects clients with architects, design companies, and contractors. All products used in the design are Made in Italy.
We renovated all the systems: electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning. We also insulated the ceiling, which allowed us to incorporate new fixed lighting with LED technology.
The new high-performance windows are from Piva Group. The heaters are Cordivari Rosy Tandem, and the doors are Portalcasa by Bertolotto.
The bathroom is meticulously designed down to the very last detail.
One standout feature is the LED light that extends seamlessly from the ceiling to the wall, made possible by a product from Schlueter Systems.
The wall covering is again Marazzi Crogiolo Lume, which was awarded Best Archiproduct in 2019.
The sanitary ware is from Ideal Standard's IdealStandard Tesi, and the fittings are by Paffoni.
